“Smash” is a verb that typically means to forcefully break something into pieces. It implies a strong and often sudden impact that results in the destruction or fragmentation of the object being smashed.In our work, the act of “smashing” represents a release of emotions tied to the toxicity of the relationship, serving as a physical and emotional outlet, allowing the individuals to express frustration and anger in a tangible way.

This project encapsulates the transformative power of breaking away from toxic relationships. The act of smashing the phone becomes a metaphorical catharsis, signaling not just the end of a misguided romance but the commencement of a new chapter filled with possibilities. In our computational endeavor, we put emphasis on the profound concept of "the restart of re-life." Our visual design is a vibrant canvas that not only signifies the commencement of a new life journey but also serves as a powerful metaphor for personal reinvention. This dynamic representation reinforces the empowering notion that, akin to resetting a device, individuals possess the inherent power to reset and redirect the trajectory of their own life paths.




What is the process of A JOURNEY TO NEW LIFE?

Following a thorough reflection and collaborative discussion, our team reached a decisive conclusion: integrating a phone-smashing action and subsequent restart into our project. This strategic choice is designed to elevate our interactive communication, infusing it with a sense of logic, scientific rigor, and spontaneity. As we look ahead, our iterative process will intricately explore the interplay between the prototype, user actions, and interface dynamics, ensuring a thoughtful exploration of diverse possibilities and refining the accuracy of interactions.

Simultaneously, throughout our creative process, we identified a rich potential for exploration in the seamless transition between the mobile phone and the computer desktop. This often overlooked aspect has become a focal point for our team. In subsequent discussions, a compelling concept emerged: memories introduced on the computer desktop, triggered by the act of smashing the phone, culminating in the symbolic emptying of the trash can. This intentional progression enhances the connection between input and output, crafting a more immersive and cohesive user experience.
